In Loving MemoryDorian D. ThomaJuly 19, 1962 - March 8, 2007 Dorian D. Thoma, 44, of Vancouver, Wash., formerly of Lebanon, died Thursday at his home. He was born in Lebanon, where he was raised and graduated from Lebanon High School in 1981. He moved to the Portland area in 1986 and had resided in Vancouver the past 12 years. Dorian worked as a union drywall finisher. He loved the outdoors, mountain-biking, camping, hiking and skiing. He was an avid OSU Beavers fan and his family was very important to him. He is survived by father Donald of Lebanon; brother David of Vancouver; sister Sheree Irwin of Lebanon; and grandmother Elisabeth Anderson of Lebanon. He was preceded in death by his mother, Joyce Thoma, and brother Donovan Thoma. A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Edward’s Catholic Church in Lebanon. Fund set up for Lebanon man  Friends of Greg Toepfer, owner of Mid-Valley Muffler in Lebanon, are seeking donations for Toepfer and his family.
Toepfer, 49, suffered a stroke on Jan. 15, and is recuperating at Oregon Health and Sciences University in Portland. He has no health insurance. Mid-Valley Mufflers employee Randy Allen said the fund will be used to help Toepfer, his wife and three children to defray expenses of the medical care and extended leave of absence from work. Checks may be dropped off at Mid-Valley Mufflers, 400 Market St., or at any Key Bank location. Make checks out to “The River Center.” In the memo section, write “For the benefit of Greg Toepfer.” |
